What advice would you give to people considering job opportunities in aquaculture?

When considering mussel farming and/or marketing finding aquaculture sites and new markets may be difficult. I would suggest they try and obtain training on larvae monitoring and book keeping (although not essential) and also I’d suggest they work hands-on on a site beforehand for 6 months to a year to learn as much as possible. They should also learn as much as possible about marketing, communications and public relations.
